On the title page of the book is written “belongs to the great Torah scholar, Rabbi Nathan son of the deceased Shimon Adler Katz”, he is non-other than Rabbi Nathan Adler Katz, the teacher of the Chatham Sofer who wrote on him in his eulogy “… who has achieved the ultimate piousness… no Torah secrets were hidden from him… The Chatham Sofer testified that when a fire broke out in Frankfurt, the fire did not approach his house.
