Handwritten approbation by one of the great respondents of Galicia in his generation, R. Avraham Menachem Mendel Steinberg, Av Beit Din of Brody and author of Responsa Machazeh Avraham.
The approbation from 1897 during his rabbinate as Av Beit Din of Sniatyn is on a manuscript – a composition on the Shulchan Aruch Even HaEzer by the Ga'on Rabbi Shlomo Chelma, author of the Mirkeveth HaMishnah.
21:13 cm, all in his handwriting in very good condition.
The composition of the Mirkeveth HaMishnah eventually ended up in the hands of R. Chaim Leib Auerbach, who published it in Jerusalem in 1927 as "Chacham Lev", but this approbation was not printed there.
The Machazeh Avraham was recognized as a halachic authority and was approached with intricate questions from all parts of the country, especially after the passing of his friend the Maharsham. He was a chasid of the Admorim of Sadigura and Chortkov and was one of the rabbis who ruled on the inheritance of Rebbe Avraham Ya'akov of Sadigura
