The Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Perles (1783-1854) was a student of the Geonim R. Meshulam Igra, He studied under the Chatham Sofer for a short period and corresponded with him throughout his life. He was a rabbi of Eisenstadt and Bonihad, and when the winds of the Enlightenment began to infiltrate in Bonihad, he returned to the city of his birth, where he died in 1854. Author of Beit Ne’eman Responsa (Sighet 1907.
The Ksav Sofer wrote about him in his eulogy, "The famous righteous Gaon … master of Shas and Poskim…
