Letter by Rabbi Moshe Mordechai of Trisk regarding the obligation to participate in the elections for the leadership of the Polish communities.

הערכה: $750 - $1,500

Letter handwritten and signed by the Rebbe of Trisk R. Moshe Mordechai of Lublin, grandson of the Maggid of Trisk and son-in-law of Rabbi Asher of Stolin, regarding election in the Polish community.

The entire letter is in the handsome handwriting and impressive signature of the Admor. Rabbi Moshe Mordechai was the son of Rabbi Ya'akov Aryeh of Trisk, son of the Maggid of Trisk. He was born in 1874. In 1918 he was appointed Admor and moved to Lublin, where he lead his chasidim. He perished in the Holocaust in the year 1943, and his novellae were printed in Sefer Ohel Moshe.
The letter is from 1924, the Admor requests to vote only for representatives of the united committee of the ultra-Orthodox and God-fearing people, thus preventing the takeover by the ‘freethinkers’ of the communities.
His great grandson is the present day Trisker Rebbe.
