A long letter handwritten by the Admor Rabbi Chaim Elazar Shapira author of Minchath Elazar regarding the estate of the Saba Kadisha Rabbi Shlomo Elazar Alfandari

A long and detailed letter in four pages in Rashi script in the hand of the Minchath Elazar (in order to enable the Sephardic receiver to read the script), including four main topics:
1) Treatment of his estate and clarification of the truths of his will which was not signed.
2) Establishing a yeshiva in his name and supporting the students there by selling the books of the Saba Kadisha. The Admor suggests that the yeshiva be called "Chochmas Shlomo".
3) Printing his holy writings and his extensive responsa.
4) The erection of a proper tombstone with an iron fence around it so that the animals and their shepherds will not be able to graze and run over his grave, as happens on the Mount of Olives in the section of the Sephardi sages.
The letter was sent on the 8th of Elul 5690 (1930), a few months after the death of the Saba Kadisha, and it is full of interesting details. The Minchas Elazar was a great admirer of the Saba Kadisha and stated that thousands of pages would be necessary to describe the greatness and holiness of the Saba Kadisha. On the last visit to Jerusalem, he received an approbation to his responsum Minchat Elazar about two days before the death of the Saba Kadisha. The Mincha Elazar was also present at the time of his death.
No doubt a rare and special letter. Very good condition, includes the original envelope.
