As is written in the personal writings of Reb Nosson (the foremost and devoted disciple of Reb Nachaman of Breslav zt"l). how after seeing the errors that were in the first editions of the Likutey Mohara"n he went on to publish a revised edition with an index and affirmations from several Rabbonim.
The book was printed in the home of Rabbi Nosson without a license from the censor therefore it was necessary to conceal its true printing place hence on the title page of volume 1 is written Ostraah as printing place, and on title page of volume 2 Mohalev as printing place, while the actual printing occurred in Breslav.
