Reb Yecheskel Sarna Rosh Yeshivah of Chevron Yeshivah was sent by his master the "Alter of Slabodoka" from Lithuania to Israel to establish the Yeshivah in the city of Chevron. After the 1929, Massacare the yeshivah resettled in Jerusalem where he tended to the success of the Yeshivah. Reb Chatzkel was from the prominent figures at the early days of the state of Israel leading many public issues as well as a member of the "Moetzes Gdolay HaTorah.
