Autograph Letter form the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Strikov

Handwritten and signed letter from the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel Landau of Strikov.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Strikov visited Eretz Yisrael twice and was involved in bettering the lives of the Polish immigrants living there, as evident in this letter.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Landau of Strikov (1885-1936) was the son of Rabbi Dov Berish of Biala and a prominent Admor prior to World War II. Following the passing of his brother, Rabbi Aharon Tzvi of Biala, he assumed the position of Admor and led thousands of followers. He traveled twice to Eretz Yisrael, yet his dream to settle there never materialized. He moved to Vitebsk towards the end of his life and passed away there. Thousands of Yidden would flock to his kever to daven.
