The sefer includes endorsements by many Chassidic giants, such as Rabbi
Zusha of Anipoli, Rabbi Yaakov Shimshon of Shpitovka, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev, Rabbi Moshe of Pshevorsk and others.

Rabbi Yosef Bloch (1724-1790) was a close student of the Maggid of Mezritch. He served for a time as Rabbi of Alesk and later became a maggid in Stanov. His sefer was one of the very first Chassidic sefarim to be published.
