Personal Copy Belonging to the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov

Novellae and Chassidic insights on the parshiyos from the Admor Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Chernobyl.

There is a seal from the Admor- Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Chortkov and his grandson, the Admor Rabbi Shlomo of Chortkov, on title page.

Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov (1854-1934) was the son of Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov, son of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin. Rabbi Yisrael was the first grandson to be named after his illustrious grandfather. Under Rabbi Yisrael’s leadership, the Chortkov Chassidus blossomed and became one of the most esteemed Chassidic courts in all of Galicia.
