Rare Letter of Endorsement from Rabbi Gedalya Twersky of Malin

Signed letter of endorsement from Rabbi Gedalya of Malin regarding sefer Michtavei Eiyahu, authored by Rabbi Eliyahu Lehrman on the 613 mitzvos and ten utterances. Rabbi Gedalya writes in his endorsement that his uncle, Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov, endorsed the sefer as well.

Rabbi Gedalya of Malin (1818-1901) was the son of Rabbi Yisrael of Breslov, son of Rebbetzin Sarah, who was the daughter of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.

Orphaned at a young age, Rabbi Gedalya was raised by his maternal grandfather, Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl, and adopted Rabbi Aharon’s family name. Rabbi Aharon appointed him Admor and positioned him in the village of Malin.
