Handwritten and signed letter from the Admor Rabbi Yissaschar Dov Lifshitz of Stropkov.

Rabbi Yissaschar Dov Lifshitz (1882-1944) was the son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Shalom Halberstam, son of Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinowa. He began serving as admor of Stropkov in the city of Ungvar already during his father-in-law’s lifetime. He was renowned as a Torah scholar and Jews from around the country would come to him with their halachic disputes. His novellae were published by his son, the Admor of Stropkov, in Divrei Yissaschar Dov.
