The letter is signed by the Rabbinical leaders of the United States after the Holocaust. The Rabbonim signing this letter were well known as leaders of U.S Jewry.

HaGaon Rabbi Naftali Hertzka Henig, AB”D of Sharmash (1898-1985), one of the leading poskim in the United States and chairman of “Hisachdus HaRabbonim of U.S. and Canada”. He was chosen as the makri for Tekias shofar while the Satmar Rebbe was the Baal Tokea. The Sharmasher Rav was named after his grandfather, Rabbi Naftali Hertzka Silberman, the Rebbe of Ratzfort.

Rabbi Moshe Stern, Av Beis Din of Debrecen, author of Beer Moshe Responsa. Born in 1915, he was the son of Rabbi Avraham Stern- author of the Melitzei Eish. After the Holocaust he emigrated to the United States and was one of the leading poskim of the past generation.

Rabbi Raphael Blum – author of Birkas Shomayim, was one of the leading Rabbis in the post-holocaust period in the U.S. A prime student of Rabbi Shaul Brach of Kashau and loyal friend of the Vayechi Yosef of Pupa, he founded the village of Kashau in upstate N.Y.

Rabbi Chaim Meir Braun – author of Toldos Chaim and Rabbi of the Eitz Chaim congregation in Brooklyn.

Rabbi Elkana Zoberman – Av Beis Din of Yardanov (1903-1959). A student of Rabbi Meir Arik, who gave him his ordination as posek. After the holocaust he was matir many agunos who survived the war. He led the Chassidic community of Brownsville.
