Letter of endorsement regarding a boy from the Sfas Emes Yeshiva who was engaged and “the time for the wedding is approaching and he does not have anything.”
The letter is entirely handwritten, signed and sealed by the Pnei Menachem and is addressed to the Ezras Torah organization of New York.

Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter of Gur (1926 – 1996) was the son of the Imrei Emes. He presided over the Sfas Emes Yeshiva in Jerusalem for many years until he succeeded his brother, the Lev Simcha, as Admor following his brother’s passing.
Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter was known by all as the Pnei Menachem after the sefer he authored. He passed away on Shushan Purim of 1996.
