Rare Invitation from the Shem MiShmuel to the Wedding of His Daughter; Sochatchov, 1910

Invitation upon the marriage of the daughter of the Shem MiShmuel to Yehoshua Nosson David Rabinowitz, son of Rabbi Moshe Shlomo Leib of Mezritch, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov of Biala, author of the Divrei Bina.
The wedding took place on the 18th of Adar II, 1910 barely a month following the passing of the Shem MiShmuel’s father, the Avnei Nezer on the 11th of Adar I. In the beginning of the invitation  the Shem MiShmuel writes that despite the fact that it was a time of mourning, "A mitzvah should not be postponed – I said, I will hold back and I will be comforted from my pain."
