Rare Signed Letter from the Admor Rabbi Moshe’le of Shinowa

Letter from Rabbi Moshe Halberstam of Shinowa and Sanz including a closing sentence and signature written in his very handwriting.
In his letter, Rabbi Moshe warmly blesses the new couple with a successful marriage, “…and may he merit to see nachas from them and from all of their descendants…”

Rabbi Moshe Halberstam of Shinowa (1843 – 1919) was the son of the holy Shinover, Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinowa. Rabbi Moshe won widespread acclaim both as a miracle worker and for his exceptional piety and holiness. His father attested that he was born completely spiritual and his grandfather, the Divrei Chaim of Sanz, predicted a great future for him already in his youth. Rabbi Moshe succeeded his father’s position in Shinowa until his appointment as Rabbi of Sanz in 1904. Upon his passing, his tahara was performed by the Minchas Elazar himself. He was then buried near his grandfather, the Divrei Chaim.
Postcard dated 1905.
