Rabbi Aharon Yosha Eliyahu Hertzfeld (1761-1846) was the son of Rabbi Dov Berish, ab”d of Glogau; son of Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch, ab”d of Halberstadt and son-in-law of the Pnei Yehoshua. He was the son-in-law of the Merkeves HaMishneh. He served first as the rabbi of Königsberg but was dismissed for waging war against the reformers there.
