Handwritten and signed postcard dated 1927 from Rabbi Yechezkel Paneth of Deyzh. The letter is an attempt to garner financial assistance for someone in need from the Ezras Torah organization of the United States.
Rabbi Yechezkel Paneth of Deyzh (1870 – 1929) was the son of Rabbi Moshe Paneth and a disciple of his grandfather, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Paneth, son of the Mareh Yechezkel. Already from a young age he delved into both the Kabbalistic and revealed aspects of Torah, becoming a prominent leader of Transylvania. Following the death of his father, he succeeded his position as Admor and stood at the helm of the large Deyzh Yeshivah.
