Fascinating Long Letter Handwritten by the Holy Rogatchover
Long letter replete with Torah novellae, handwritten by the holy Rogatchover, Rabbi Yosef Rosen, beginning with strongly worded rebuke against those who steal other’s Torah thoughts.
He writes:
“I received the booklet today, and behold most of the authors, both those who are living and those who already passed away, they are all… wrapping themselves in a prayer shawl that is not theirs and have all taken from my treatises – and there are those who wrote in my name, but what (good) do I have with this… “

Rabbi Yosef Rosen (1858 – 1936), known by all as the holy Rogatchover, was a phenomenal and world-renowned Torah scholar, whom Rabbi Meir Shapira of Lublin described as ”
a treasure of wisdom as though from one of the rishonim.” His brilliant insights and Torah novellae were published in Tzafnas Paneach on the Ramban as well as in responsa.
