Rare Letter from Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz Describing Mir Following the Holocaust, 1946

Letter from Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Mir, addressed to his uncle, Rabbi Yechezkel Partzovitz, in Eretz Yisrael. The letter was written while living in Rockaway Farber, NY.
In his letter, Rabbi Nachum deliberates whether to remain in the states or immigrate to Eretz Yisrael. He also describes the great future he envisions for the Mir Yeshiva; to rise from the ashes and flourish.

He writes:
"Thank G-d everything is in order by us. We are sitting and learning and renewing. Indeed, it appears to the eye that in the Holy Land the manner of our learning and our situation in general will be better because of the other worldviews that prevail there… Also with regard to our yeshiva… if only there will be good will… surely it will be able to rise in glory for generations…Regarding myself, my uncle Rabbi Korelitz left here… He is of the opinion that I should nevertheless travel to Eretz Yisrael…"

Soon after marrying the daughter of Rabbi Chaim Shmuelevitz, Rabbi Nachum moved to Eretz Yisrael where he served for a time as Rosh Yeshiva of Mir.

There is also a marginal note from Rabbi Nachum with short novellae on tractate Yevamos
