Handwritten letter dated 1899, written by Rabbi Baruch Bendit Lichtenstein.

Rabbi Baruch Bendit Lichtenstein (1858-1944) was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Koppel Lichtenstein, Av Beis Din of Atlan (a brother of the Holy Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein). He was a close disciple of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Paneth of Deyzh and was highly regarded for his holy piety and righteousness. He served as rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Kraszna for more than 50 years and perished in Auschwitz at the age of 86.
