Handwritten Letter from Rabbi Shlomo Benzion Twersky, the "Yenuka of Chernobyl, " Kiev 1932

Letter of blessing from the Admor Rabbi Shlomo Benzion Twersky addressed to his followers.

The letter, written in Kiev, 1932, clearly showcases the Admor’s deep dedication towards the well-being and success of his Chassidim.

Rabbi Shlomo Benzion Twersky
(1870 – 1939) was the son of Rabbi Yeshaya Meshulam, son of Rabbi Aharon of Chernobyl. He was orphaned at the age of eleven and appointed Admor upon his Bar Mitzvah. He was one of three Russian
admorim titled
"yenuka" (youngster): the
"Yenuka" of Karlin,
"Yenuka" of Tolna and
"Yenuka" of Chernobyl.
In 1919 he followed the advice of his Chassidim and traveled to America, but returned to Russia
repulsed by American culture. His son Rabbi Aharon married the daughter of Rabbi Gedalia Moshe of Zvhil. His son-in-law was the Admor Rabbi Yochanan of Rachmastrivka.
